Colored shades are everywhere and we’re living for them. This early 2000’s staple is coming back in all the classic colors like pink, blue, yellow and many more, this time around they’re coming in all shapes and sizes. Thin rectangles, cat eye, big aviators, you name it there’s pair of sunglasses to match your outfit with. Here are some glasses we’re loving…
California based rapper Tyler the creator has been creating waves with his fashion sense since the beginning of his musical career. His colorful suburban aesthetic have inspired the youth to stick to classic silhouettes with bright colors. Tyler has always used fashion as a way to express himself and even created his own clothing brand titled GOLF which has gotten huge support from Kanye West and best friend Kendall Jenner. His last SS18′ collection showed during NYFW last February where skating and riding bikes was the norm in that catwalk. Tyler ever performed and gave out CDs of his to the audience, he featured bright shades of yellow, blue and green and several short pants and t-shirts in different prints and colors. GOLF is a fun and happy brand that everyone should definitely check out..
A reoccurring trend throughout the years is patchwork, every time more elevated and modern than the last season. Patchwork is needlework in which small pieces of cloth in different designs, colors or textures are sewn together into a one of a kind garment. Luxury brands like Chloé, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent have featured patchwork on their collections as well as the streetwear brand “Supreme” which released a collection that included pieces made with this technique. Patchwork can be used with anything imaginable, denim, plaid, floral, color blocking, you name it, this technique isn’t going anywhere anytime soon…
My personal Style Icon has to be Robyn Rihanna Fenty, this woman has been a trail blazer in the music, fashion and beauty industry. After a successful career in music she decided to enter the fashion world by collaborating with Puma and creating her own shoe line, she debuted her first clothing collection with Puma in 2016 and it’s been a hit ever since. She later released Fenty Beauty in 2017 which was a riot in the beauty community because of her iconic “Trophy Wife” highlighter and wide range of foundations, 40 to be exact. Rihanna is an unapologetic risk taker, this translates and influences her fashion sense, her style is definitely out of the box with bold colors, different silhouettes and overall sex appeal, she doesn’t care about the critics, she wears whatever she wants whenever and where ever, and that’s why we love Rihanna. Her confidence and attitude carry these bold outfits tremendously, she can talk the talk and walk the walk…fiercely. Here are some of my favorite outfits from the iconic Miss Rihanna..

The denim jacket fits almost any aesthetic and is incredibly versatile, for maximum customization paint it yourself or stick some studs and safety pins into it, go crazy with it. There are hundreds of shades of denim from muted pastel blue to deep royal blue, the outfit combinations are limitless with this multi-functional garment. This must have piece can be paired with virtually anything, tight or t-shirt dresses, black, printed, or khaki pants, denim jeans for the denim on denim look, and so much more..
Sneakers are the latest trend these days, they’re comfortable, stylish and practical for the daily, recently stars have been collaborating with brands to create new designs. Kanye for Adidas, Rihanna for Puma and now Gigi Hadid for Reebok. Gigi being the new spokesperson for Reebok is going to re-vamp the brand, and I see them making a huge comeback for 2017 just like Adidas has been doing in these past years. Reebok Classics are coming in trendy colors such as pastel pink, blue, lavender, gold and silver, making them a must-have in everyone’s wardrobe. These sneakers look great with anything, your favorite jeans and a big chunky jacket will be a bold casual look, a bomber jacket and ripped jeans or even a body-con dress would look great with these neutral sneakers. Here are some must have pairs of Reebok Classics..
Flared Jeans are making a comeback this spring/summer 2016 thanks to the revival of the 70’s. So you know what that means? Yes, time to put away those skinny jeans for a while and get yourself a brand new pair of flared jeans. For the ultimate trendy boho/hippie look pair them with a loose printed shirt, if you want to stay true to the 70’s look pair the trousers with a bold printed fitting shirt and some outrageous platforms. Another thing you can wear with your flared jeans is stripped shirts, either ribbed or a basic knit. If you’re looking for a more modern vibe to your jeans try a leotard (bodysuit), these will hug your every curve and seem like a regular tank-top. Here are some ways to style your 70’s flared jeans..
Summer is around the corner and you know what that means: Bathing-Suit Season! Don’t you worry you’re not the only one who’s going hard at the gym for that summer beach-bod, we all are. Wondering which bathing suit to get? Don’t worry I got you. If you’re a curvy gal like me I recommend you get the trendy high-waisted bikini, it covers the belly and any trouble area. The one-piece bathing-suit is back with a boom, I myself have been looking into getting one in black, they’re so slimming, they accentuate and glorify a woman’s curves; why wouldn’t you want that? Another bathing-suit that’s trending is the high-neck, this high-neck is a modern twist to the bikini that allows room for cool designs but just watch out for the tan lines. Here are some bathing-suits to look out for this Summer 2017..
Gender fluidity is starting to trend and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The art of Androgyny is the beautiful form of being able to embody female and male characteristics and traits, something not all of us can pull off. This look is fierce, bold, daring and it’s dominating the runway and fashion industry. So don’t be surprised if next season you see men wearing skirts because thanks to celebrities like Jayden Smith and models like Willy Cartier who are normalizing these pieces to be gender fluid. The women are also taking part of this trend, every time wearing more loose, boxy silhouettes and trousers. What a time to be alive, living without gender labels in the Fashion Industry! Here are some bold people rocking that androgynous look..
